Horror! Secret bootlegging operation uncovered right in our backyard!

Since articles are never deleted on Neechin, to prevent confusion, I recommend everyone look very closely at the date of this article.

Neechin.net is a translation project and game commentary/review site, but once in awhile, you just have to go break some news because the story found you.

A few weeks ago, a friend I talk games with complained to me that his copy of Narcissu Side 2nd that he bought off craigslist was weird and looked like a burned copy.

That’s strange, since my copy was clearly pressed, and they all should have been.

Well, after I clear that up with my friend, a few days later, he comes to me with a stack of photos. He wouldn’t say how he got them, other than he called in a few favors with some guys in chinatown. I look at the pictures what what do I see?

Looks like a home grown bootleg operation to me… what’s the world coming to. It’s a free game for cryin’ out loud! Are these things funding drugs? Or guns? Maybe prostitutes for our line of governors?

Worse, considering how you can get cheap movies for a few bucks on the street cops or no cops on the street, I doubt the letter I dropped off to the police will do much.

Ya know, I just got around to checking in a few days late, and I’m sad to see no one commented on this. I got a laugh out of it!

Wow… bootlegging a free game. Sounds like pure stupidity to me… I mean, to know about the game, you’d have to pretty much know that the game is free to begin with, so I don’t see how this little project would ever rake in any profit. It’s like saying, “I’m going to sell you free bread I stole.”
